Drop Zone Family Fun Center in Sioux City

Drop Zone Family Fun Center is an entertainment center in Sioux City, Iowa. This is a great place to have fun and get your blood pumping! 

They have laser tag, trampolines, obstacle courses, and video games. The trampoline area has a slam dunk and a dodgeball section! All participants must sign a waiver. They also have a safe Little Tykes Area for children ages 1-5. The Little Tykes Area has a secure jungle gym with padding. 

The snack bar has a variety of American food, snacks, and beverages including alcoholic drinks. Drop Zone is great for birthday parties! 

Sioux City Art Center in Downtown Sioux City

The Sioux City Art Center is an arts museum and cultural center in Downtown Sioux City. The museum’s collection focuses on artists from Iowa and the Midwest but also has other artists. 

Visitors can see art by Karen Chesterman Thomas Hart Benton, and Salvador Dal in addition to many others. The museum also has Grant Wood’s Corn Room mural which he created before his most famous work, American Gothic. 

Their goal is to nurture art in all its branches in Sioux City. The museum is free and open to all lovers of beauty. 

Sioux City Railroad Museum in IA

The Sioux City Railroad Museum reflects the long history of railroads in Sioux City. In 1868, the first railroad came to Sioux City. During the 1920s and 30s, Sioux City was one of the biggest railroad centers in the country. 

In 1977, the railroad filed for bankruptcy and eventually the Siouxland Historical Railroad Association bought the land in 1995. The area was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. 

Visitors can ride the motorcar and go on an interpretive tour. You can explore the restored Steam Locomotive No. 1355, nicknamed “Ironhorse.” Take a look at their website for up to date admission prices.
